Over the past several months I've tried to post my thoughts here but havn't been able to "bring" myself to tell the truth, or to tell my side of the story, my opinion that is.
I've found myself thinking maybe a liberal is what I was meant to be. It's hard to be a conservative. It's hard to be honest, forthright, devoted, fidel, true of heart. As a matter of fact, it's really hard to be good - from what I see and hear, it's pretty easy to cheat and lie and steal. My God teaches us not to hate. But man, I have no use for liars.
I'll get to the point.
I want to live out the remainder of my time enjoying life, loving my family and my neighbors, serving God in whatever ways he wants. At a crossroads I am now. It just seems to me that the rest of the world - the one in the machine, you know - the machine I've been warning you all about for the last 4 or so years here and at least the last 20 years before I started this silly blog.
So here's the thing- all of the news is bad, the economy is bad, politics is bad. I hear this preacher yelling on the radio and it scares me - REALLY BAD. Like nightmare bad. I hear Kucinich talk and it makes my stomach turn. The machine reports 25% of all teenage girls have an STD - that's ONE OUT OF FOUR!!! Break it down further, 50% of black teenage girls and 20% of white or hispanic teenage girls have an STD. I hear that some teenagers think they can use aluminum foil as a form of birth control. This puzzles me - how insensitive must you be girls, to allow a boy to cover his penis with aluminum foil and then attempt fornication?? Have you girls lost your minds? And boys, how could you consider this practice?? Have you no respect for females? Don't you consider the pain and damage this will cause?
A president gets caught having an affair in the whitehouse and over the course of the following decade we have children getting caught performing oral sex in the schools and now 25% of our teenage youth has an STD.
Are you getting the picture yet?
China is polluting the earth and sending deadly products all over the world, but mostly just to us stupid Americans. Yet who's telling them to quit polluting, quit using lead in their paint and in the meds the manufacture and sell to us??
The police of the USA are here to stop the bad guys from being bad, and to help people in need. But, who's going to protect us when the police aren't there or can't get there fast enough?? It's our job to do that - it's our job to invest our money, to protect our families, to diet and exercise properly and above all to raise our children. It is NOT the job of the government to make money, police our streets, and raise our children. We put those jerks in the government there to make sure we don't have anarchy, and to maintain the guidelines setforth by our founding forefathers.
You get it yet??? I mean really, you got any idea why this is probably the last time I make an entry to this blog???

So I'm done - I'm dropping out. I wish no more to be an armchair politician and a Monday morning philosopher. Like The Dude said, "This aggression won't stand, man."
So here it is - I've decided to become a silent conservative, raise my family the way I choose, shoot my guns at my gun club, fish with my son, and serve God. I'm gonna swim in my pool, water the flowers, cut the grass and have a beer. But when it comes time to talk politics and religion after the family dinner you won't find me at the table anymore. Nope, this is it - signing off.
