Recent Events give need to raise a stink again!
So years ago I started this here blog. Like in 2004. Somewhere around 2008 a change in work venue prohibited my right to free speech - while I was serving Mr. Big. This isn't to say that I lost my right to free speech, Lord no. This meant that if I wanted to post something here it would be on my time and not the man's time. So be it. But since I had an hour drive to and from work I would frequently have calmed down or been pissed about something else by the time I got home and the thought of sitting back down in front of a monitor and spewing about this rock head or that moron politician was, well it wasn't gonna happen. And so for 10 years I've kept the genie in the bottle. But today that's all about to change.
Now, this isn't to say that with age I've mellowed. No friends and neighbors if anything I am spitting angry more now than ever. So much shit has happened in the last decade that I have plenty - or should I say a plethora of issues to get down on paper here.
So lest I digress I shall start off with a little something that happened recently. For it is this very complaint I have with people that gave cause to bring me back to my little nest of rants and tirades.
Courtesy and honesty. That's what I'm gonna bitch about - it'll be quick and as I've said in the past pay attention as I'm known to move fast - and just for you newcomers I DO NOT contrary to popular belief have a John Madden scadoodle thingy so there will be no Xs and Os for you to follow. This also is not a cheap take off of one of my favorite songs regarding a lady named Alice, a restaurant, a festive meal, and a bunch of trash....in which the narrator who's name would be Arlo talks about 8x10 color glossy prints with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back. No none of that fuckery will be used here. This as always will be just me here complaining and pointing out the absolutely psychotic behavior of of our ridiculous society.
Now then, oh wait. I've made my point already and no one even got it. Anyone? Raise your hands if you can tell me what I just said between the lines. Anyone? Hello? Is this thing on? thought not.
So be courteous and honest. If you need to interact with one another do so in courteous and honest fashion. Be honest, really, just be honest. If you want to buy something from someone and throw out an offer - make sure the offer is REAL. Don't bait someone by making an offer you can't honor should your offer be accepted. And be courteous. If you're amidst a business transaction or sending in a RFP be courteous irrespective of the outcome. Should you not get the job or have your offer accepted so be it, but be courteous. Thank the other party - acknowledge the other party - say something to the other person - damn. And if your offer has been accepted and you find you can't pony up and pay the bill or pay for the service or product then acknowledge this. Send a frickin` email for crissakes and tell the cat, hey man, I effed up and like i can't pay for your website or your artwork, or that really cool widget you made.
There's really only a handful of general qualities that we each should posses and practice - the rest is us being, well you know - YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL - JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!! I always loved that saying. No seriously we all have the right to pretty much do as we please so long as we're not intruding on others. We should all be more thoughtful of this rock we're on but the wheels are already in motion and were started well before the likes of us. We aint got shit over mother nature and her pal God. Don't even point a flashlight at that idea - shitasses claiming humans are smart enough to change the course of nature in the big picture. pompous asses.
Be cool to everyone - like Bill and Ted said, be excellent to each other. Quit the bullshitting when it starts to become your identity - really, just stop. If you can't handle your liquor then find another vice that doesn't accentuate your assholeness. Talk to people. If you ask someone a question they should answer. And if their answer requires more communication on your part then communicate!
