I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so.

Well I hate to jump on any band wagon, but this is something that had to be said, so let it be said again. You people had better realize that what the media machine is feeding needs serious sterilization. And also realize this my faithful readers, what you see is being seen all over the world. I'm not attempting to suggest that these atrocities are justified nor are they justifiable under any conditions. Remember how enraged you were when you heard what was happening on 11, September 2001? I saw it happening on television. I heard of the first crash and flipped on the television as the second plane was coming in to view. At that very moment there was no doubt in my mind that we had become under attack. And then another and another. The skies became vacated. 24 hour news sources ruled the freqs the freaks get to use. We stared, eyes glassed over, drool from the corners of our mouths as we patiently watched. Were we waiting for another attack? Were we concerned for the missing, the dead and presumed dead, for the lives of the men and women there to rescue those they could, and care for those in need? Sure we were, that's pretty silly of me to think we weren't. But we were also waiting to see what next was going to happen to our country...and we wanted instant gratifying revenge. Oh sure there were those that wanted to know "why" we were attacked. I distinctly remember politicians running to the machines to get their opinions heard. From their mouths came statements like "If I had been in charge this would not have happened...", "What we need to do now is...", "Let's embrace our enemy...."...and the more I reach back to pull open that rusty cabinet drawer filled with memories I cannot shake but refuse to let haunt me I become ill from the bile spilled by the machines that are corporate and political. Now we have film of American flag wearing soldiers committing acts upon other humans in the name of what they believe our country stands for. When my Grandfather spoke (and only briefly did he speak of the war) of WW1 he spoke with pride. He was proud to defend the rights of our country and for the liberties we enjoy. My father the same. I know not one American soldier whose spoken with pride of humiliating another human. This is not what our country stands for.
Having said this we now must consider what has been widely publicized. That the Arabic people are people of peace. That the Islamic communities do not teach nor condone the acts of violence in the name of their religions. That the acts of terrorism is committed by small extremist groups not following in the name of the deity to whom they pray.
There is no doubt, that the machines are going to be working double time in double speed. There will be left and right spins on the latest videos from overseas. Some will say these were the exceptions, others will defend the actions. Make no mistakes, there will be fierce retaliating for the indiscretion of these soldiers. The propaganda machine will be spewing the flesh of our leaders. The political muckraking has yet to begin...get your raincoats and boots out, it's going to get deep here!
As always, I will close leaving this forum unfinished and inconclusive.
