My sincerest regards to the families of those lost at the hands of some whacko at a kids dance. I'd like to discuss what happens at these "raves" but now isn't the time.
What is on my mind is the senseless and irresponsible media's involvement again. I read an article from a paper out of Seattle. The writer refered to our society as one that is infactuated by "the gun" and that once again another "gun has killed someone".
When I pack my gun's little lunch and send it off to work each morning I never dream that it might acutally kill something.
And when my Harley calls me on the phone from the garage to tell me it's lonely and wants to go to the bar and hang out with the other Harley's the last thing on my mind is an accident. Come to think of it, my bud in SC told me that a few weeks ago his Durango took a notion to go off-roading after it had drank some kind of synthetic motor oil and the truck got all whacky crazy!!
So I'm reading this guys article and he goes on to say that the US has become so intoxicated (well that's actually my wording, this guy probably couldn't say intoxicated much less spell it) with guns that the guns are now killing our kids.
I wrote about this just a few weeks ago and suggested the schools start passing out kevlar body armor along with the condems they pass out at the school dances since the establishment hasn't the wear-with-all to tell the kids to quit having sex because they're affraid the parents of the children will sue them and the school district for abusing the kids by trying to curtail their freedom. whew.
The writer of the article goes on to say more gun bans and gun controls are in order if we expect to gain any control over our society. Ralph Nader never tried to get a gun banned because the gun is a perfect tool. It cannot under any circumstances do anything to anyone unless it's used the way it was designed. A gun cannot fire unless the trigger is pulled to the rear of the gun. That's it - nothing more nothing less.
A human being can reproduce and not be subject to their actions anymore. Now the machine wants us to believe that the human is no longer at fault for killing - that's it's the fault of a machine that man designed.
I for one will NEVER give up my weapons nor my rights and you can write that on my stone.
